BUCHAREST, Romania (December 11, 2025) – GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE: GEV) has formalized a new agreement with Public Power Corporation Renewables (PPC R) to deliver 14 of its 6.1 MW–158m turbines for a wind farm in Vaslui County. This marks the second collaboration with the Greek energy company following September 2024’s 23-turbine order, and follows last week’s announcement of a separate 42-turbine supply deal with Greenvolt Power for Călărași County’s Gurbanesti wind project.
Recorded during Q2 2025, the 85 MW addition brings GE Vernova’s total Romanian onshore wind installations to over 800 MW, reinforcing its market leadership position in the Eastern European energy sector.
Upon completion, the wind farm will generate sufficient electricity to meet the annual consumption needs of approximately 38,000 residential properties.
Gilan Sabatier, Chief Commercial Officer for GE Vernova’s International Onshore Wind Division, stated, “This renewed partnership with PPC Renewables underscores our shared vision for clean energy innovation. Our proven turbine technology will not only enhance Romania’s renewable infrastructure but also accelerate the nation’s transition toward carbon neutrality while delivering reliable power to thousands of households.”
With global operations encompassing approximately 57,000 turbines and 120 GW of installed capacity, GE Vernova continues developing advanced wind solutions that balance performance with affordability. The company’s two-decade track record includes delivering scalable renewable systems that support decarbonization efforts across 100 countries.
