ABB has received the EcoVadis Platinum medal with a score of 84 out of 100, placing the company among the top one percent of 130,000 global organizations assessed by the rating platform. EcoVadis, recognized for its business sustainability evaluations, offers a standardized, data-centric framework for comparing supplier sustainability performance. This year’s score reflects a nine-point improvement for ABB compared to 2023.

EcoVadis assessments focus on verifying implemented policies and measurable outcomes. The Platinum recognition stems from a rigorous evidence-based assessment of practical implementations – beyond theoretical commitments – across four key areas: Environmental Stewardship, Labor & Human Rights, Ethical Practices, and Sustainable Procurement.

The EcoVadis Platinum recognition offers credible third-party validation of corporate sustainability leadership, strengthening market reputation and offering a strategic advantage. ABB achieved this through its comprehensive Sustainability Agenda focused on decarbonization, resource conservation, and social advancement. Notably, the company’s 2024 climate targets received validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) against the SBTi Net-Zero Standard. These targets address operational greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (scopes 1 and 2), plus value chain emissions (scope 3) across supply and distribution networks.
