For the second straight year, ABB has earned a position on Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)’s prestigious ‘A List’, highlighting its commitment to climate-related transparency and performance. Among more than 22,000 assessed corporations, ABB stands out as one of the few achieving the highest score. The company also advanced its CDP Water rating to A-, reflecting strengthened water stewardship practices. Over 700 financial institutions representing US$142 trillion in assets utilized CDP’s platform to evaluate corporate environmental disclosures covering climate, deforestation, and water security.

Anke Hampel, Group Head of Sustainability at ABB, stated: “Being named to CDP’s A List for the second consecutive year validates our sustainability strategy’s effectiveness. ABB’s net zero objectives, endorsed by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in June 2024, include 2030 short-term goals and 2050 long-term targets encompassing both operational and supply chain emissions. The A- Water score underscores our progress in water risk management through improved governance frameworks and supplier partnerships.”

CDP’s assessment framework evaluates corporate environmental performance using a standardized scoring system ranging from A to D-, rewarding comprehensive disclosures, proactive risk mitigation, and adoption of sustainability best practices like science-aligned emission reduction targets. Companies failing to provide adequate data receive an F rating.
