GE Vernova secures contract to supply 42 wind turbines for Greenvolt’s Romanian project

BUCHAREST, Romania (October 16, 2025) – GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE: GEV) has finalized a contract with Greenvolt International Power to deploy 42 of its 6.1 MW–158m* onshore wind turbines at the Ialomiţa wind complex in southeastern Romania. This renewable energy project will contribute 252 MW to the national grid, advancing Romania’s renewable energy targets for the coming decade.

Formalized during Q3 2025, the agreement schedules turbine deliveries to commence in 2026. Once operational, the wind farm will generate sufficient electricity to meet annual demand for over 110,000 residential and commercial consumers across Romania.
