GE Vernova to supply H-Class combined cycle technology for Enea’s Kozienice Power Plant in Poland

ATLANTA, GA (November 18, 2025) – GE Vernova (NYSE: GEV) announced it has secured an order from Enea Group for two 9HA.01 combined cycle gas turbine blocks to support the transition away from coal-fired generation at the Kozienice Power Station in Poland. The order, booked in the fourth quarter of 2025, marks a milestone for GE Vernova as its global H-Class fleet surpasses 200 units ordered.

The new natural gas-fired Kozienice plant, powered by GE Vernova’s advanced H-class technology, is expected to significantly reduce emissions, achieving up to 60% lower carbon output compared to coal, diesel, and other fossil-fuel-based plants of similar capacity.

The project aligns with Enea Group’s Development Strategy 2035 and is a key component of its broader energy transition roadmap. The company aims to reduce emissions by 64% by 2035 and achieve full climate neutrality by 2050.

“The new generation units will play a crucial role in transforming Poland’s energy sector,” said Grzegorz Kinelski, President of the Management Board at Enea. “Equally important is the project’s impact on regional development and job creation. We estimate that approximately 75% of the project will involve Polish companies. Key components will be produced locally, and Polish firms will participate in design, construction, installation, and supply chains. The new CCGT units will also enhance the stability of the national power system.”

Under the agreement, GE Vernova will supply two power blocks, each consisting of a 9HA.01 gas turbine, an STF-D650 steam turbine, a W88 generator, a Mark VIe Distributed Control System (DCS), and a triple-pressure heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) with reheat. The steam turbine and generator will be manufactured in Poland at GE Vernova’s facilities in Elbląg and Wrocław, while the gas turbines will be produced at the company’s manufacturing center in Belfort, France.

The Kozienice plant will be constructed by Çalık Enerji, which will serve as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor.
