Celebrating a decade of the “Make in India” initiative, ABB’s System Integration Unit reports that 85% of the integrated analytical systems produced at the Bengaluru facility were exported to international markets. The systems were delivered to countries such as Argentina and the UAE, and the team is currently working on projects for Canada and Australia.
These integrated gas and liquid analyzer systems are vital for ensuring production process safety, reliability, and efficiency. They provide precise measurements of process gas and liquid components, allowing real-time monitoring of emissions and production streams. This helps detect potential hazards, optimize process control, reduce operational costs, and minimize environmental impacts. By monitoring emissions and identifying inefficiencies, these systems prevent environmental harm while ensuring optimal production.
The analytical systems portfolio includes continuous gas analyzers, online gas analyzers, process gas chromatographs, and more.
“ABB is dedicated to helping clients across industries enhance their efficiency and performance, and we are increasingly able to do so from our base in India,” said Javier Suárez Díez, Global System Integration Manager at ABB. “Our Bengaluru team combines deep technological knowledge with strong technical capabilities, allowing us to remain competitive in the global analytical market.”
ABB offers fully customized analytical systems and solutions, covering everything from initial engineering to fabrication, testing, field start-up, and on-site support. The portfolio includes continuous gas analyzers, online gas and liquid analyzers using advanced laser techniques, rapid-response process gas chromatographs, and more.
“Our expertise in India supports even the most complex applications in energy industries, both domestically and internationally,” Díez added. “While we continue to grow in India, we are proud to serve our global clients from here.”
In India, ABB has successfully delivered analytical solutions for prominent projects, including a major petrochemical complex and several state-owned oil and gas enterprises.
For over 40 years, ABB has been delivering fully tailored industrial process and gas analyzer systems to some of the largest oil and gas development projects globally, from the Texas Gulf Coast to Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf. Apart from Bengaluru, ABB operates gas analyzer integration facilities in Dammam (Saudi Arabia), Shanghai (China), and Houston (USA).
ABB recently received the “Distributor of the Year” award for its System Integration Unit’s exceptional customer service in industrial process and gas analysis at the Instrumentation Excellence Awards in London. This award highlights the company’s significant contribution to the energy transition.
