Aurora Motors, a U.S.-based provider of vertical pump motors with annual revenue of $4 million, operates engineering and manufacturing facilities in Shanghai, China, alongside its corporate office and distribution hub in Hayward, California.
This strategic acquisition aligns with ABB Motion Business Area’s focus on profitable growth. It strengthens the NEMA Motors Division by broadening its product portfolio, optimizing the supply chain, and improving global customer support.
The NEMA motor market, valued at approximately $3.4 billion, primarily serves industrial sectors in North America. These electric motors are critical in industries such as food and beverage, oil and gas, mining, water and wastewater, and in applications for moving air, liquids, and materials.
