National Grid Allocates HVDC Supply Chain Framework Contracts

LONDON, UK (March 13, 2025) – National Grid has officially awarded two segments of its £59bn High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) supply chain framework, securing essential works and equipment for major energy projects across the UK. Four key suppliers, including GE Vernova, have been selected under the HVDC Converter Framework, with contracts amounting to approximately £24.6bn. This agreement spans an initial five-year period, with an option for a three-year extension.
