GE Vernova Hosts Global Summit to Advance Power Production and Safety
GE Vernova’s Gas Power business (NYSE: GE) recently organized the Global EPC Summit in Dubai, UAE, from February 27 to 28, 2024, bringing together over 100 Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) participants from 20+ leading organizations worldwide. The summit aimed to foster collaboration across the power generation industry and promote common safety standards.
The event focused on uniting EPC companies, end customers, and GE Vernova experts to discuss the transformation of power production, emphasizing decarbonization and electrification. Participants explored the current state and future outlook of the global power sector, as well as innovations and technologies driving a low-carbon energy future.
A key highlight of the summit was the development and signing of a safety pledge by all participants. The pledge underscored a collective commitment to making safety a core value, ensuring that every employee returns home safely each day. This initiative is part of GE Vernova’s ongoing efforts to enhance safety standards within the industry.
Joseph Anis, President & CEO of GE Gas Power Europe, Middle East, and Africa, emphasized the importance of strong collaborations across the power generation value chain to achieve the mission of electrifying and decarbonizing the world. He highlighted the significance of the safety pledge, which was collaboratively created and signed by all summit attendees.
Robert Cummings, Chief Safety Officer & Executive Director — Global EHS for GE Vernova, praised the participants’ dedication to improving safety standards and empowering employees.
